Andrew Tatum is a Kentucky-born and North Carolina-raised singer, songwriter, guitarist and youth worker currently based in Raleigh, North Carolina. He is currently playing guitar, singing and writing songs for Pine State -- a three-piece combo made up of members of fellow Raleigh-based bands Caldwell and Martha Ann Motel. His primary work, however, is as the director of youth programs at Centenary United Methodist Church in Smithfield, NC.
Andrew is a graduate of Campbell University where he studied religion and philosophy and Campbell University Divinity School where he earned a Master of Divinity degree in theological studies.
During and after college, Andrew played both live and in the studio for David Calvert and did live guitar work with artists as diverse as Giles Blankenship, Luis Conte and Lou Santiago, Jr.
In addition to playing with Pine State and still doing live and studio work with David Calvert, Andrew is currently writing his first solo album of instrumentals.
